Our planet is gasping for breath, harmful pollutants is indeed choking her slowly and continues to stripped her with her ozone layer. We as a part of this world should do our part to this alarming state by doing our own share of protecting her with simple things thats will stir big difference. The signs of earth's displeasure with inappropriate and harmful activities of humans are now seen and felt across the globe such as global warming, climate change, drought, flash floods, earthquake, tsunami and other natural catastrophes.
I believe that every single steps I'm taking will contribute a little or more in saving the earth and therefore I have been practicing many ways to care the earth. First of all, the habit of reduce, reuse, recycle has been instill in me. I will only purchase things that we use and consume food that I can. Recycling old newspapers, aluminium tins, plastic bottles do reduce the garbage problem which is seriously facing by each country. Things like electonic appliances, furnitures and clothing are reused and we are not suppose to throw it just because we are fond of trendy and fashion ones. These habits can conserve our resources.
Secondly, we should be kind to trees and use forest products and timber well with optimum efficiency. Involving in tree planting activities in our local conservation program as trees supply living things oxygen and slightly lower down the temperature of the surrounding area as well as a refuge to different insects and birds. The ecosystem of the way it should be must be maintained.
Apart from these, it is vital to do the traditional way in helping to conserve our environment by
avoiding the habit of smoking, saving electrical energy by switching off the lights and use only appliances when needed. We also should minimize the use of refrigerators and airconditioner for these contains chlorofluorocarbons that are responsible to the climate change and depletion of our ozone layer, leaving the earth's surface open to the sun's direct rays. Do not start the activity of open burning and burning of plastic as this is harmful to living things as well as contibute to thinning of the ozone layer, too.
On the other hand, water which is a precious necessity if life, should not be wasted. We have to het out of the bad habit of leaving the water running thile brushing teeth. Just imagine that one can waste gallons of water everyday by not simply turning the water off. Besides that, we should take a shower rather than a bath and do not take long shower either. Other way of conserving the water is watering the lawn and garden during the night or early in the morning because a lot of water will be wasted due to evaporation if we water the plants on a hot day.
Lastly, I pledge to the mother earth that I will do no more harm to the environment. It is our reponsibility of taking care of the beauty of her for our generations and the future generations. It is no longer an option to live blithely on this planet with no care as to what most of us are doing to it and if we do not stop the way we have been treating her, we will no longer have the honor of living on it. All the vast amount of pullutants, all these problems, what can be done to slove them? Without a dramatic change, both to society and to people's character, there is no hope!

Christmas in Finland =)
Finnish people believe that Father Christmas (Santa Claus) lives in the north part of Finland called Korvatunturi, north of the Arctic Circle. People from all over the world send letters to Santa Claus in Finland. There is a even big tourist theme park called 'Christmas Land' in the north of Finland, near to where they say that Father Christmas lives.
Everyone cleans their houses ready for the three holy days of Christmas - Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day. Christmas Eve is very special, when people eat rice porridge and a sweet soup made from dried fruits (plums, raisins, apples, pears, apricots and figs). It´s eaten in the morning or at lunchtime. They will then decorate a spruce tree in the home. At mid-day, the 'Christmas peace declaration' is broadcast on radio and TV from the Finnish city of Turku by its Mayor. They will have their traditional Christmas dinner at the evening. The meal includes 'casseroles' containing liver, rutabaga, carrot and potato, with cooked ham or turkey. Food traditions during the Christmas period depend on which part of Finland people live.

On Christmas eve, many go to church on the afternoon or late afternoon - this is a new tradition. Many people will attend church early. Graveyards are very beautiful places on the Christmas eve since there are lot of soft white snow and lights from candles that people bring to the graves for loved ones. If relatives are buried in other graveyards, there are places in graveyard you can lit your candle to remember them. Sauna is part of the celebration, too. After the festive dinner comes Santa Claus. Presents that are put under the Christmas tree are opened. In some families where there are no small kids, the presents are not put under the tree but collected into big sacks, which will then put at the front door.
Christmas Day services in the churches begin at six in the morning. It is a day for family visits and reunions. In some parts of the country the Star Boys tour the countryside singing Christmas songs. During all these days the people keep wishing each other a "Merry Yule."

New experience.
Hi to all, am new here =D I don't really know how to explain my feeling of blogging for the very 1st time. However (actually I'm gonna use the word 'but' BUT my English teacher said it's 'prohibited' as butt's not at the top of our body), I think most of the Alphas were quite excited to blog but some don't. As for me, I don't really like to 'cause people around you know what you do everyday and somehow one can't say whatever he or she wanted to, right? Or else you will end up in jail eating curry rice. hehe....it's fun to know what's going on with my classmates and get to hear other ppl's comment on what have they done.
Okay, so that's all for today and I will be updating my blog once a week or more often as this is an order by Mdm Flowrese (don't play play). See ya =D
